TIPS AND TRICKS

How to fix the axles in the structural parts:
1. the points where the axles are to be fixed are marked by a small circular arch.
2. to fix the axles use the clamping sleeves. Stick them into the borehole, and then the axle.
3. Instead of the clamping sleeve you may use a piece of thread to put into the borehole.
4. If the structural component is to be attached at the end of the rod, you may place a piece of thread across the borehole. The axle will be pushed in with the thread.

What are the Matador tools used for?
They are used to pull the pins or rods from the blocks’ holes, or for thinning connecting pins and hardwood axles that are too thick. To pull a rod or pin from the blocks, take hold of it by means of the hole (A) in the bracket; make sure to leave a small space between the block and the tool.
Press the tool in the direction of the rod to wedge it in the hole of the tool. Then pull.

What to do with rods and pins that have become too thin:
Place them between several sheets of a moist but not dripping wet newspaper to allow them to expand over night. Then put them on a piece of paper to dry, without applying heat; they will be serviceable again after one day.

What to do when the hardwood axles are too thick:
Place them on a smooth, straight surface - the table
or a 10-hole plate - press a block on the axle, rolling
it back and forth. It will soon become thinner in the
place where the pressure was exerted by the block.
